It’s Saturday, and I think you know what that means… Assume the position, and here we go with another sizzling snippet from my current WIP – the sequel to the hotly-anticipated, Taming Lady Lydia…

“My cravat was not intended to be a pleasurable gag, Lydia,” he tells me, guiding my mouth towards his face with the with his large palm. “It helped to remind you how to control your mouth, and which of us makes the rules in this marriage.”
I am now just inches from his strong jaw, and I want so desperately to kiss the stubble there. Perhaps sensing my desire, he tilts his head, capturing my chin and drawing my attention back to his eye-line. “Which of us is that, Lydia?”
I squirm under the weight of his expression; his green orbs ooze a quiet, knowing authority. “You, Thomas,” I whisper, my words spilling out in a rush. “You are in charge.”
Just saying the words aloud makes my core liquefy.
“That’s correct, my love,” he purrs seductively at me. “I am in charge. So if I ask you to refrain from speaking on a subject for a specific period of time, I do expect you to obey me.”

Hmm, I guess gagging her with his cravat is effective as a reminder she wasn’t to discuss something. At least he did ask her not to speak of it first. Right? Reminds me of a story where the hero tied the heroine up, put a vibrator inside her and added a ball gag because he wanted to watch a football game undisturbed by her chatter. She complained he could have just asked her to be quiet first. So, at least Thomas had the courtesy to ask first. Great snippet. Looking forward to reading more.
