Thanks to her loving husband Tom, who even after thirty years of marriage, never hesitates to put Cassie over his knee when she strays too far from his view of ladylike behavior, few people other than close old friends know this side of Cassie exists.

Cassie and Tom show that love and passion are not the sole property of the young. Love and passion grows and changes with age. While aging may bring on challenges – the love and passion between these two people only grows stronger.

Here is a steamy excerpt from the book:

The next morning, we started out shopping, new shoes, new dresses, new lingerie, the works. A small fortune later, we were primed and ready for our real shopping trip. As I parked down the street from the shop, I again warned the girls firmly, “Remember, we just happened to drive by and started laughing about going in. And before we knew it, we were inside. We never planned to go. And if pushed too far, I’ll blame it all on Sue. If Tom thinks I planned this, I’m dead meat.”

“And just why is it my idea?” Sue wanted to know.

“Like Tom’s going to think Annie or Beth came up with this idea? He’ll believe anything bad about you and you know it,” I explained patiently.

“Oh goody,” Sue chuckled. “I love making Tom mad and I’m always looking for good blackmail material.”

I ignored her as we all trooped in. I have no doubt the sales people are used to a wide variety of customers, so perhaps four ladies in their sixties didn’t shock them. However, I think by just being there, we shocked ourselves.

What an unbelievable store! I’d never been anywhere like it. We looked around, trying to take everything in at once. It wasn’t possible. I moved to check out the closest counter and laughed as Sue, Annie, and Beth all followed me in a bunch. “Back off, girls,” I told them, laughing. “I’m not going through this place in a pod.”

I just can’t begin to tell you what all we saw. We laughed like children as we pointed out one item after another to each other. Everything was so crude and vulgar. I couldn’t help but laugh. I definitely could never picture Tom in a place such as that store. I knew if he ever found out about some of what I saw, he would toast my butt for setting foot in such a place.

One thing I did learn about adult toys, heaven help me, but everything vibrated! I saw walls of more vibrating toys than I could ever have imagined. We’d entered a treasure trove of vibrators, lotions, paddles, crops, floggers, whips, cuffs, chains, and various novelties.

We also saw a plethora of items I suppose were to take the place of a man if you don’t have one of your own. This realization didn’t shock me, but the life-sized crystal sculptures of this particular part of the male anatomy amazed me. They were absolutely beautiful, but surely they were only meant as art and not for, umm… use. But where on earth would one display such works of art?

And with her friend Sue by her side and all they get into, a trip over his knee is very likely. My Cal’s Law series, is about a younger couple. Though they come from very different backgrounds, love and discipline draw them together.
